October Halloween Movies
One of my favorite days of the year is October 31st Halloween. As a kid I would decorate the outside of our house with grotesque beings and add some eerie music to scare the trick or treaters.
My favorite pastimes is also collecting horror posters, lobby cards etc. I'm especially
into most of the Hammer Horror films of the sixties and seventies, as well as the Amicus movies. I'm getting ready to pull out my collection of dvds and watch them over this month. Here is the rundown of the films I'll be watching and hope you'll find them somewhat frightful but nevertheless entertaining!
Horror of Dracula (Lee and Cushing at their Best!)
Curse of Frankenstein (Christopher Lee's portrayal of the Monster is pretty creepy)
The Mummy Karloff/Lee (original and Hammer remake)
Warhol's Blood for Dracula (Criterion)
The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires
Taste the Blood of Dracula
Eyes without a Face (Criterion)
Horror Express
The Creeping Flesh
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Tobe Hooper Original)
Halloween (John Carpenter)
Prince of Darkness (John Carpenter)
