Monster Master from myspace has provided The Lost Kaiju with upcoming information on G-Fest XIV (Godzilla Festival) here's the scoopNorth American Godzilla fans will be gathering July 6-8, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza O..'Hare International in Rosemont, IL for G-FEST XIV. The special guests for G-FEST XIV are actor Rhodes Reason, the star of King Kong Escapes (1967), actress Shelley Sweeney, who appeared in five Godzilla films beginning with Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1993), and actor Robert Scott Field of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991). Also, genre writer and producer Don Glut and Carl Craig will also be attending.
G-FEST XIV will be screening King Kong Escapes and King Kong vs. Godzilla (1963) and special surprise features at the Pickwick Theater in nearby Park Ridge, Illinois. The fest will also have a giant dealers room, model instruction, video room, Godzilla Jeopardy Tournament, costume parade & contest, art contest, video contest, Godzilla Save the Earth video game tournament and special activities for kids and more.
Weekend admission tickets are $29.00 for adults, $10 for youth (12 and under). Daily admission (at the door) is $20.00 for adults, $5.00 for youths. Children 5 and under are admitted FREE.
