Carving out figures from wood he then uses fiberglass to bring to life his creations. You can see he has been inspired by tokusatsu shows such as Barom 1 or Matango. One of Carlos's many interests are Quantum Physics. He will be at Toy Karma in Chicago on Setember 8 with many other talents including Mark Nagata, Bob Conge, Ralph Cosentino, and Steve Forde. Now in Stock

The Lost Kaiju has some new figures in stock now! CCP Spectreman C type. (weathered version)
These were limited to only 300 pieces. A highly detailed figure of Spectreman in the latter episodes as the suit took some real beatings. From the brilliant Japanese toy company Amapro comes Kira. Kira is limited to 100 figures and is purple vinyl.

One of my personal favorites this month is Liberty Planet's Seabozu (Glow version) The like-able depressed Kaiju from the Ultraman epidsode Grave of the Monsters. Even comes with a glow and the dark rock! Come over to the store and check out the great figures.

We will reveal our featured artist shortly, can you guess who it is? He will be at Rotofugi's Toy Karma next month.

UltraSeven X

It's the return of the Eye Slugger! My favorite Ultra is to be reincarnated once again. The show is to be called UltraSeven X. It will be released sometime in the fall and will be shot in the widescreen format. The first for a Ultra hero series. The show will also take place in the evening time slot to reach the older audience. The image of UltraSeven X looks very formidable. Let the hack and slash begin! To get more info on UltraSeven X please check out Sci-Fi Japan.

Frankenstein Conquers the World

The Lost Kaiju is pleased to be carrying Media Blasters dvds. Our featured dvd will be Frankenstein Conquers the World in the upcoming week! A Toho produced movie from 1965. Toho's Frankenstein monster battles Baragon and the swinging sixties. Starring the late great Nick Adams. Also in the weeks ahead, Masked Rider The First, Dagora, Death Trance and the all mighty Toho Triple Pack (featuring Matango/Varan/The Mysterians). Our older titles will be going on sale within the next two weeks. Be sure to drop by and check out the great selections.

Subcasts Marvel

I was just introduced to Subcasts line of Marvel toys through myspace. Being a comic book reader and fan of Marvel, these figures look very impressive! I'm very anxious to see them hit the assembly line. The designs are by miO Willmott and the studio Tweeqim. Produced by Upper Deck. Spidey is set to be released at SDCC with only 100 pieces and again for the initial release this fall to 2000. Ghost Rider and Iron Man may also be released sometime in the late season. The Prototype Iron Man is my favorite.

Gas Bawer ( Mousou Kaijyu Series)

I recently acquired a figure called Gas Bawer from the company Longneck. It's one of my favorite pieces of the summer.
They come in many versions. I have the strawberry version (no cream) and the Mt fuji version. A friend from Japan helped me with the harder to find Fuji piece. The vinyl is soft to the touch (squishy) and has a great vinyl smell. I've heard it may be the same maker of the Bemons. They have yet to reach Bemon status but a fantastic odd little creature nonetheless.
